Zing - Whoever optimised their site didn't know us !!
You might have seen the Zing ads on TV recently advertising Australia Posts Parcel Service. Although the ad seems pretty slick and the budget for putting it in front of the nations TV viewers seems pretty generous, whoever came up with the Zing concept should have given us a call to optimise their website better!
After seeing the Zing -The thing that makes your business sing ad I, like a lot of other people I would guess, went to Google and typed in ZING.
That's when I got a little disappointed with the online strategy
Here is what I have found:

When you search for Zing in Google what we found is that the agency or whoever is handling the online campaign for the product does not known much about Search engine optimization and getting a web site ranked for a keyword that has a relatively small search competition. What they have done is placed a google adword campaign.
Whilst this is not a bad thing it costs money so it would have been much better to get the website ranked for natural free search's. If your Australia Post and have a huge-normous budget to spend on clicks then its not a big thing but if your a small business where every bit of expenditure needs to be accounted for this can be a costly and potentially wasteful exercise.
So what would we have done if they had called us to design their online campaign?
To give our clients websites a bit of Zing we help them by optimising their sites for the free searches that Google, Yahoo and Bing.
This helps our clients by getting them FREE traffic to their websites, something that every business would love to have.
With the actual Zing site I would have constructed it a bit differently and put some more keyword rich content on the first page of the website.
