You need to be in Google Places - Claim your listing NOW!
Google have been making a lot of changes recently to the way that they are showing the listings on their search results pages. The change WILL effect the way that people will find your business in google.
One of the major changes that they have made recently is to include the Google Places listings at the top of the search result page. This is their attempt to to have more relevant local listings for the searcher.
The way that they are doing this is using the listing in Google Places (used to be called Google Local search, Google Business Center Listings and GMaps) instead of the normal free ranked listings that you may be used to seeing.
